Just read this charming, delightfully illustrated book to my 3 1/2 year old son. I love how engaging it is - encouraging you to pause on every page to examine your body parts, noticing their details and how they might differ from someone else’s (and of course, remarking how special and unique your parts are to you!) When I asked my son if he liked it, he exclaimed “Yes! I loved all of it” “Why? What did you like about it?” “All the cool words!”The only critique I would have is that while there are many diverse looks of body parts and kids, I would’ve liked to see more brown kids/parts in the book.

My 5 year-old completely resonated with this book!!! The short sentences make it easy to read. My 11 year-old read it my 2 year old. She loves the pictures and they each have it on their tablets so they can look at it while we drive. Happiness and a new daily habit in a book!

This book is adorable and really engaging for small children. Its something they can follow along with and relate to as an individual, finding themselves on each page :) Would certainly recommend to families

The message in this book ties in perfectly with even the youngest children. It’s the perfect “first book” for infants, and my school age grandchildren loved it too! It captured their attention throughout. I would highly recommend it!!

Whimsical and fun illustrated book for toddlers. Teaches that each person is unique , beautiful and special just the way God made them. Even though God isn’t mentioned- I personally would add that when reading to a child.

At a time in history such as THIS-- we need more works of art in the vein of "Only One Me!". I do not typically choose writings such as this one, but something about it called my name, and I feel fortunate for that.This experience comes from the heart and is guaranteed to touch the heart of you and your family as well.I'd certainly recommend!

This book was exactly what my 4 year old needed. Having just started a new school and with lots of changes going on at home, the mantra of “only one me” is something she started repeating after only one read. It stuck with her. I definitely recommend this book. Confidence builder for sure.

These true accounts are Lina Magaia's attempt to bring to an international public the reality of rural life in her country, where people are terrorized by the Mozambique National Resistance (MNR), a group with clear ties to the South African apartheid regime and ex-colonialists now in Portugal. While the MNR is often represented as "freedom fighters" in the American and British press, Lina Magaia's refutation is deadly clear. The events she relates are horrific and gut-wrenching. The stories vary in style; sometimes they are short and shocking as an axe to the neck, sometimes they are drawn out like a keening wail. Still others start out slowly - telling the reader about the beauty of what one woman has been able to produce from the land, or the love between a young couple - only to end up with a brutal description of total, barbaric destruction. This is not a book for the weak of heart; it is easier to pretend such things do not exist.
